Yeah he might have said that, but he's never logged into RenGuard, so he's obviously lying.

alright, so i quote myself:
"If you want to catch people trying to get around your system, i'm the last person you should point your fingers at. You should be looking at people like spade AKA darthcide that claim to have started renegade with bones in their data folder. alright, thanks."

As i said, he CLAIMED to have done, i didn't say he did. All I said was, if you're trying to "catch" people "trying to get around" your system, you should look at people like him, instead of me.

No, we have every right to suspect you too. "Renegod", or whatever your cheating alias was.

OK, so I should look into people who say they've gotten past RenGuard and yet have never logged into it... instead of someone who triggered an alert for an altered client??

C'mon...

Ok, first of all, just because i used final renegade on two or three games EVER, doesn't mean i'm a natural born cheater. Second of all, ffs this is getting annoying, if i did try to hack your program...why would i still be here saying I didn't even when you claim I "set off an alarm"?

C4Prox, have you considered that your computer might have a virus? Most viruses silently infect any exe file that you run. All we know is that you kept connecting to the RG network with a client that had changed code, we did the only thing we could since you have to admit it fits the profile of someone trying to hack.

If you are truly innocent, I suggest you scan your computer for viruses. If you dont have a virus scanner use the free online one: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

If you find that you were infected let us know and we will remove the ban. Otherwise it stays at least until the RG network settles in and we have more time to invetigate whats going on with your client.

I don't exactly calling the RenGuard team names would be an action of someone who is innocent. Also, maybe you're trying to find out how you were banned so you could "fix" your problem to play Renegade. When really you are trying to see how it worked so you can get around it. And nobody likes to be called a cheater and have themselves embarassed in front of an entire community. 3 simple and quickly thought up reasons why you would be a cheater and defend urself.

With me saying that, I have no opinion on whether you are guilty or innocent. Just thought it was interesting you would bash the RenGuard team if you were innocent.

I actually happen to KNOW I have a virus. I tried to intercept it and cure it, but it's just not possible. It owns some of my exe files, but i'm still waiting to get my windows XP cd back so I can reformat my computer. So leave it at that, fine, I just want people to know I wouldn't wanna try to hack an anti cheat program when i'm a cheat hater...

I'm sure you would be pretty calm if you were trying to set up renguard to work. Getting help from IRC guys, and all of a sudden BAM you're banned. And you're talking to someone on msn thats giving you the IRC chat logs.

I kind of agree with c4prox... renguard comes out for a game that was NOT made by Blackhand studios or whatever, and if you guys f00k up his game by not letting him play it sounds like you're playing WOL and banning ppl, not being a group to help keep cheaters away

He can still play Renegade. Just not on servers that run RenGuard... there is nothing wrong with that.

I wouldn't be the most calm, but I would understand that they detected a change in my client. I certainly wouldn't go around calling the team a fucking joke.

Simple solution. Fix the virus, then we'll unban you and you can try again. Either way, RenGuard will not let you play with altered code, whether we ban you or not.

I'm the bawss.
