an error message pops up saying
"Access Is Denied: c:\docume~1\sadam\local~1\temp\~f51e43.tmp"
i just got the game today i am running on Windows XP Prof. My computer is triple of the requirements... whats wrong? is there a way to fix it?

Looks to me like your "sadam" account doesn't have administrator priviledges. Either log on and play as administrator, or give the sadam account administrative rights (Control Panel -> Users and Groups)

What video adapter do you have?
What DirectX version are you running?
Do you have all of the latest drivers installed for your devices?
Are you running Win XP SP1?
Add these items and I'll be happy to help you!
Does it give you this error on install or game start up?
There is a known issue with Renegade not being compatible with some video adapters, especially Voodoo ones.

An access denied error isn't caused by drivers, so none of the stuff you're asking about is going to matter. If he has other problems though, the info you're asking for would probably help.
