Alright folks, I'm trying to make JG as customizable as possible and as I proof read my scripts I'll post in this thread. A few things that I need your opinions on.
1. If a user is not identified as a moderator call a poll? (Only for qkick, kick, tban)
A) Yes
B) No
C) Let it be chosen by server owner
2. Auto connect to update server for new versions of scripts?
A) Yes
B) No
C) Let it be chosen by server owner
3. Use a host rank above admins (ties into flag system)
A) Yes
B) No
4. Moderator powers.
A) Use a flag system where you can have a VIP with the power to kick or a voice that can ban, etc.
B) Use a set system where VIP cannot kick but are unkickable voices can qkick and kick halfops can qkick kick tban operators can qkick kick tban ban admins can qkick kick tban ban and are unkickable and hosts can qkick kick tban ban are unkickable and can ban mods
C) Let it be chosen by server owner
5. Assume IRC server has +h
A) Yes
B) No
C) Let it be specified by server owner
Note: Since halfops are closer to ops than voices voices will not inherit any halfop powers if the IRCd does not support +h
6. Report major events and commands to an admin channel?
A) Yes
B) No
7. Restrict team chat to an admin channel
A) Yes
B) No
C) Send team chat via wallchops
D) Let server host choose
8. Log IP addresses?
A) Yes
B) No
C) Let serve admin choose
9. Log polls?
A) Yes

10. Let users emotely change server / JG config settings using /notice JGbotick !command remoteadminpass or custompass?

Well, that's all I can think of now. Don't ask me for a release date because I formatted and the only copy of JG left was one I made for #jteksvrs so I have to edit and customize.

Scripting with JG:
JTeKGuard uses mIRC signals to send messages for parsing, you'll need to know mIRC scripting which takes maybe a week to be able to create complicated scripts. To make a in-game command:
Make a new file in notepad.
Add the default JG header, else the script will not be supported.

Release date is unknown, I'm fixing bugs right now, it's based on the same bot that ran JTeKSvr06. I had a more finished product but it got lost in a reformat.

People that can beat the hell out of WOL people all the time play on gamespy because they want competetion.
WOLSPY is good because gsa people join and own all the wol people. Just like you.
Anyway, brenbot is out and its free, it supports linux, gsa, wol e.t.c. Unless you run only WOL I see no use for this.
The current trend is that a lot of servers of the big server are running wolspy. Maybe you can stick to your puny 8 player ones :twisted:

Um. Last I check BCServ, which happens to be the most advanced and successful network of gaming servers for Renegade, doesn't use WOLspy. And GameSpy support will eventually be added. I just have to do a few things. Now get out of my thread, and stop flaming everything on JTeKGuard

Funny, it seemed they were equally matched on my server. I honestly dont think the software you use to connect to a game affects your skill.

Brenbot is great software, but it can't be customized very heavily to suite a server owners needs at this point.

Just because it's a trend doesnt make it good. I ran it on my server for about a week and cheaters from GSA flooded in.

Well I have been running wolspy servers for 4 months now and wol people are generally not good. Occasionally I see people that are ok, but majority of the time people don't know what is going on.
b.t.w. a lot more cheaters on WOL then on GSA, in fact many good players are accused of cheating on WOL servers.

When was this? I keep hearing about this match, but all I see in any wolspy server is that the top 5 players are always from GSA dominating all the WOL players... its a pretty constant trend.
The best players seem to be on gamespy, only find random fools on wol, excpet for the select few.
