Sorry to disapoint mate, but the general populace have little to do with it, u need to thank that smarmy prick called Tony Blair, and when u say america will always be there for us, do u mean in the way that the US put tax levys on european steel imports or the way that the usa's fiscal policy has devalued the dollar to increase US exports and decrease imports from europe, thus improving your economy but doing damage to ours? Although i am grateful for the help provided, (as i cant speak german for shit) i jsut wanted to remind you that everything isnt as simple as black and white

If the European economy is so devastated by the U.S. levies, then why is the Euro worth more?

if you knew the first thing about economics and if you actually ready my post and if you actually did some research, you would find that i stated that the US's fiscal policy devalued the dollar on purpose, as this has the effect of making it cheaper for overseas countries to export from the US but it makes foriegn imports more expensive for american companies, thus increasing demand for home made US goods but making the rest of the worlds goods more expensive to import, and thus lowering demand for them.

If you insist on going back to the blitz, maybe you would find it interesting to know that the US didnt help out of the goodness of your hearts, the US was happy to sit back and watch europe destroy itself, only when Pearl Harbour wars attacked did you interviene. Once you did interviene you did not do it for the good of the world as a whole, the US demanded payment for its help in the war, which led to the down fall of the "british empire", sounds like a mercenary action to me. once again no flame is intended just a little reality check
