Hey hey, im looking for a basic script, it will have to be written, but it needs to do the following things:
Start/Finish ScriptZone
-Laps__
Checkpoint Scriptzone
-Checkpoint#__
-Play 3d sound__
Very basic, its for my Pod racer mod, my brother tried making it, but he's lazy and quit after 3 minutes.
Basically i need a script to put on a zone, to make a start and finish of the map, but it will have to keep up with how many laps each racer has done. there will only be 3 Gdi and 3 Nod. So that when any of the team members make three laps, that team wins the race.
Checkpoints Scriptzone is for the Checkpoints on the map, should have to ability to set the checkpoint #, and play a wav file. Again this would have to keep up with all of the players.

My brother got most of this done, he just wont finish it.
It didnt take him long either, if anyone can do this that would be great, and lots of credit will be given to you on the mod release.

That would be really simple to do. I bet if you gave it some time you could make it yourself and in the process learn the basics of scripting.

thanks, it seems that none can script it, i might have to ger on kazza and get me C++, but i still doubt i would be able to do it.
Im at the point in the mod where i need the script to continue, so i need to learn fast i guess.

Try downloading notepad.exe instead.

You don't need the scripts to make the stuff right? you only need it so you can play it. Get your chacters/vehicles/maps done (at least 5 of each I would say) then talk to jonwil. Try and convince him that people will actuly use it.
If you have a project that is almost done, I am sure he will do it.

Sorry my mistake. I thought the scripts were written in notepad like the text cinematics.
Anyway you might wanna take a peek at Sourceforge.net before you go and download Visual C++ or something.
