I know these forums are used to higher caliber modding, but i made a few skins, and thought i would share them here.

You mean you modified existing textures (not "skins") and added some camoflauge patterns.

Nice, but it's been done too much. I'd be impressed if you actually made your own replacement 3D meshes with UV unwrap and texture.

ACK, ifYOU want to call them textures, fine. Im sure the millions of gamers and game producers around the world who call them "skins" are absolute idiots. You must be the gaming messiah.

me too! i can uv unwrap and make original textures, but i can't model. if someone gave me an inf model, id be glad to bring it to life.

Most industry professionals refer to them as textures or texture maps. That's what they are, after all. Ever use a dictionary to look up the meaning of texture? Sure enough, it has a definition for graphics work.

Try skin? Nope, doesn't cover it. Wonder why? :rolleyes:

No one is arguing that "texture" is not a correct term.
But if you ask ANY game developer what a skin is, he/she will know what it is. Why do we use the word skin? The same reason why you have sentence fragments in your previous post...the same reason people rarely use proper grammer online...

it's easier, and no one cares.

Only the minigunner has the American flag patched on...the rest are just desert camo. If you want, i can take the flag off.
