My favorite FPS games are
- Renegade
- Aliens vs Predator 2
- Serious Sam 1&2 (excellent graphics and gameplay)
- Unreal tournament (the first one)
- Soldier of Fortune 2(played only demo, but it was still good)
- Half Life
- Hostile Waters (more of a simulator, but still a FPS game)
- Aliens vs predator 1(damm, those Marine missions were hard!)
- Doom 2
- Duke Nukem 3D
- Dark forces (very old, but very good Star-Wars game)

I would have to say Renegade for multi. And I dont really play single player FPS's. Main reason why I say renegade over Half life is because in renengade I just feel like there are much more options, not just running around trying to pick up your favorite weapon before someone smoked you. Also I love going around in a APC and running people, no better sound then that boink Very Happy

lol believe it or not, the best ONLINE fps is paintbrawl4 of course, but the best fps with a not-too-far-behind second would have to be renegade

i also wanted to know wat is counterstrike? bcuz the C&C counterstrike is NOT a fps

3D FPS's Online

#1 Command & Conquer: Renegade (Easily the best MP experience to date)
#2 Battlefield 1942 (Original is great, all available mods make it even better.)
#3 Half-Life (CS never really appealed to me but DoD, FireArms etc. are great.)
#4 Shared equally by games like Aliens Vs. Predator 2, Savage, Quake etc.

3D FPS's "Offline"

They're practically too many to list but here are a few:
Deus Ex (Still the undisputed champion), Half-Life (incl. expansions), Aliens Vs. Predator 2, TimeSplitters 2 (PS2, XBOX, GC), Golden Eye (N64), Perfect Dark (N64), Doom (I & II), The Thief series etc. etc.
