How is that considered a cheat?
It just changes the look of the scope. Doesn't change color, or scope power...
In fact its used in some mods.

It takes the black and green parts, and makes them clear. IT looks like it does when you are unzoomed. Tell me that is not beneficial?

I am assuming you mean a scope like the one used in Renalert(changes green part to clear but leaves black around scope) and not the one posted below which lets you zoom with whole screen.

I searched on google and found four sites for renegade cheat skins, hacks, etc. If you want them that bad get off your lazy ass they are not hard to find. Or you can choose to try and get skilled instead of cheating, in the long run this would probably be your better option.

I used that scope for two seconds, because my cousin told me it was a cool skin. I hated it, it made it harder to aim, so I deleted it right away. Sniping in renegade sucks anyway, but its not as bad as sniping in far cry.

I actually quite like sniping in renegade, however I do have too issues with it.
1.> The texture mapping is not recalibrated when you zoom.
2.> Then Z clipping plain is not adjusted.
