Don’t quote me like I’ve come out of nowhere.

I'll do what I want... Thanks!

Hellweed

It’s about time others had the balls to stand up to the hypocrisy.

msgtpain didn't make this thread to "stand up to the hypocrisy". He made this thread for the sole reason to flame someone. That in turn makes him no better, and doesn't give him room to talk.

You may "believe" that you just "recently" started to not care, but if you do a search for "fucking asshole" and "aircraftkiller" you'll find 3 pages of text going back since this boards creation, where you attack people just as you do today.

Since AAK625 obviouly doesn''t appreciate us hijacking his thread and talking about random, irrelevant things, let's boycott his mod. No one help him out, because it made when he reffered to me as a guy who "F*cking Suck[s]" Everyone click the ignore button on him while you're at it?

Unless he takes it back, of course...

Skinning and texturing are both used jargon, wicht to me meansthe same thing in the end.
It's normally called skinning when you place a 2d graphic on 2D applications, but when wrapping a 2d graphic around a 3d models it's called texturing.

But there is ofcource also a diffrence in placing skins on a terrain or an object. With objects' like charackters you can most of the times easily replace the 2d graphic on the object. This is a lot like skinning with 2d applications, so who cares if it's called skinning. For terrain well, I think texturing is more appropiate, but for charackter objects, well people have skin, so why not call it skinning.

This is mine definition of skinning/texturing. I don't have much experience at texturing, so I might be wrong, but a dictionary is for me no proof in this world of made up words.

Size doesn't matter.

See msgtpain... ^This is exactly the reason you posted this thread. Everyone jump on the ACK BashWagon! Make sure anyone in the community that thinks you're an asshole doesn't feel they're the only one.

I didn't post this thread.. Ack cut it from the "original" thread (see the third post where I link back in to it) simply because it was in the "mod" forum, and he "can"..

One person ask for skinners and help with their mod.

One person makes a stupid comment about how there is no such word as a "skinner"

everyone else continues on in the thread arguing about if there is or isn't such a word as a skinner..

and you don't see who caused the thread to be hijacked? Do you honestly think that any one of those other people would have given a fuck about someone saying "skinner".. no.. the argument was started (and kept alive) but one person.. The same person that does it every single time..

You say you don't want anyone defending you, that's fine.. I have no intention of defending anyone (which I've clearly stated).. My sole intention is to point out that Ack is again being an asshole and a hypocrit, rather than simply let him get away with it like he always does..

Don't you find it at all funny that in every one of these threads, Ack speaks his mind 100%, and continually states that is his right, as well as anyone elses; yet.. he wants ME to PM him.. Why? cause HE can't take the criticism in public..

So stop fucking dishing it out..

Look. Guys. Ffs. I don't know about the rest of you since I'm not around enough anymore, but I know that msgtpain has half a brain or more. So why is all this still going on?

Don't you realize that you're complaining about things carrying on? That is what you're complaining about, if you forgot. You're mad because you think that mean ol' ACK has a habit of taking things too far for too long. Whatever.

Did you miss the point that he stopped talking about this though? He got tired of all this crap, and stopped. Just like that! He just, stopped. Why do you carry on still? Worse, you're now attacking him for stopping? Yes, he DID stop, check back a page and a half.

He wants you to PM him so this shit can STOP before it turns into a multipage flame. He's been taking criticism forever, it's not like he suddenly can't take it anymore o_O Yes, I find it hysterical that ACK states his mind and says you can state yours but that's not good enough for you. Just PM him and wait for him to get back to you if he even wants to fucking bother. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't respond, because SUPRISE, he doesn't care about it anymore.

Go make a map or something.

Edit: ... no way in thell that was my first post... o_o;

He wants me to stop because it's becoming hateful and vengeful and bringing a whole lot of people in to the conversation that he would rather remain "behind the scenes"

That doesn't mean he's going to stop being an asshole.. He specifically told me that he wasn't.. it is is god given right to speak his mind..

Well.. I'm a fast learner. God gave me a brain, and fingers.. might as well use them just like he is.

As long as he pokes his nose in every single thread to make a spiteful comment, I'll be right along behind to spite him back.

He wants you to "Believe" that this is a personal vendetta between him and Titan, which we should stay out of.. But I wonder how he explains doing the same thing in the "other" thread that I pointed it out in last night.. Maybe the star wars mod dude and him have a history also.. hmm.. I guess I should have asked Ack that.

You tell me "be respectful" as if I'm supposed to know what the fuck you mean. Your definition of "respectful" could be anything for all I know.

Hmm, ACK likes to post definitions of words when people challenge him, so I thought I would return the favor.

respectful

\Re*spect"ful\ (-f?l), a. Marked or characterized by respect; as, respectful deportment.

adj 1: full of or exhibiting respect; "respectful behavior"; "a respectful glance" [ant: disrespectful] 2: feeling or manifesting veneration [syn: reverential, venerating]

Funny thing, I knew what respectful meant before looking it up. Hmmm.

ACK didn't start the argument... He only stated his opinion on what he thought the term should be. What started the argument was everyone else chiming in telling him he's wrong. It wasn't kept alive by only him, as you said yourself:

msgtpain

everyone else continues on in the thread arguing about if there is or isn't such a word as a skinner..

That is what kept the argument alive.

msgtpain

He wants me to stop because it's becoming hateful and vengeful and bringing a whole lot of people in to the conversation that he would rather remain "behind the scenes"

Or did it ever occur to you that maybe he wants you to stop because it's difficult to remain friends with someone who fights him at every turn? Nobody wants to fight, especially in public, with friends. You may want to think about that.

msgtpain

As long as he pokes his nose in every single thread to make a spiteful comment, I'll be right along behind to spite him back.

Or what you could also do is just let him do what he wants, and keep to yourself. Everyone should take this advice. If people didn't react to his comments about things, however off topic they may be, there wouldn't be a 3-4 page flamefest afterwards would there... This goes back to the same "original" topic this stemmed from. AAK625 never acknowledged ACK's comment, so why should anyone else have? If I made the same exact comment, in the same exact spot, I could almost assure you that there wouldn't have been the ensuing argument afterwards. The only reason it went on as long as it did is because others seem to respond, just to fight with ACK. Just like you keep doing. I personally thought ACK's comment:
Aircraftkiller - for those who aren't paying attention

Skinners remove the skin of animals... Texture artists create texture maps for 3D games.

Was humorous actually. Really people. He just stated his opinion on the subject (not the topic), and I doubt it was posted just to start a 3-4 page argument on the subject. That's the difference. You seem to think it was. Do you honestly think that following him around just to "spite" him is really worth while? What will it accomplish? What makes you think after long, knowing what I've observed of ACK, he won't just start doing things just to give you something to spite about. This is one of those things that should just be dropped and left alone. It's already obvious that a friendship is already dancing along the edge. Why push it? It seems right now, that your only goal is to piss him off to the point of hating you. Then what? He still won't have changed, you've lost a friend, and now you argue about everything just because he's him, and you're you. All makes it worth while doesn't it?

The friendship I speak of is that of which you either have or had with Aircraftkiller.

Obviously you cared enough to speak with him as you say "like a 100 times" via PM. You say the reason you are going after him like this is to get him to see the error of is ways basically. Maybe you haven't been paying attention because that obviously doesn't work. Hasn't before, isn't now. He has even said several times that if you have a problem with what he's doing, speak to him privately about it. I've spoken to him privately, he's not a bad guy. I just would like to know what you think you're going to accomplish by going at it the way you are. That's all. Think about it, then tell me... Is it worth it?

Sorry, I guess I wasn't aware that friendships were created by asking someone 100 times in private to stop doing what they were doing. Maybe if he would have listened a couple of those times, a friendship could have grown. But it was more of a "relationship" where I knew that in about a week or two, I was going to have to PM him and ask him to stop again.

Please show me where I stated that I wanted to show him "The error of his ways" ? This is like the 5th time I've stated.. the SOLE REASON for doing this is to piss him off just like he does everyone else.. That's it.. He wants to be an ass in everyone elses threads, then I want to be one in all of his..

I know he won't learn anything from it, but at least he won't be able to just sit back and laugh at his posts while everyone lets him get away with it and says nothing at all..

Surely you can't say you only spoke to him via PM, and only to tell him to stop what he's doing. I was only pointing out that if you spoke to him 100 times in private to stop doing something, you cared at least a little bit. If you never thought of him as a friend, I guess you don't have anything to lose!

msgtpain

the SOLE REASON for doing this is to piss him off just like he does everyone else.. That's it.. He wants to be an ass in everyone elses threads, then I want to be one in all of his..

Maybe I read his posts incorrectly then because I've never been pissed off by anything he's said in any thread, reguardless if I started it or not. If he wants to be an ass in everyone elses threads, let him! They will just look past it like before. The only person who seems to be having such a huge problem with it is you. And if you want to go as far as to do it, "just because he does", that's great! In no time you'll be concidered an ass, just as you claim him to be. Good work!

msgtpain

I know he won't learn anything from it, but at least he won't be able to just sit back and laugh at his posts while everyone lets him get away with it and says nothing at all..

Good thinking. Then he'll just get to sit back and laugh at your posts while everyone else lets him get away with it and says nothing at all..

That's your opinion, I respectfully disagree..

You honestly think I'm going to keep on with this forever? I assure you that I'll become bored quickly. But my purpose has been served; how many flaming ack posts have you seen since I began? I may indeed just be a "person typing on the internet" like he would have you believe.. but he's not a stone pillar yet, and he does respond to negative public opinion; he just doesn't want you to think he does.
