Ok after installing ra1 on my new computer and using the XP patch. I now get this error when I try to play the game!
Whats going on now! I soo want to play ra1 in something other than dos mode

Its easy run the setup.exe file in compatibility mode for 95 and you will have no problems at all. If you installed it without compat mode then uninstall it and reinstall it with the setup file in compat mode.  worked for me this way.
