The blocks will grow into a robot dude, and when the ladder maxes out, a purple guy will come down it. The turn after that, the purple guy will jump inside the blocks and you've maxed both of them out.

The block and the ladder are connected, the block can only become at it's max when the ladder is at it's max.

These 2 games were great.

Note the levels it takes to get something to it's max. Then look at the levelup pattern. Thats all it really takes.

The pipe maxes out when it sends clouds to the mountain. Then the sun must max out to cause grass to grow on the mountain. If the pipe is there when this happens, the pipe becomes a lake from a stream running off the mountain. Then trees grow and the pipe itself becomes a flower or plant of some sort. When you get that, the mountain and pipe are maxed.
