Well, I do not know how do do this and I figured someone here would . . . How do you register a name on IRC so that no one but you can use it? Is that even possible? Someone on another forum logged into their chat as me and fucked up my reputaion by typing all sorts of shit, and I do not want this to happen anymore. . . Thanks In advance even if it isn't possible.

type the following in order, replacing the stuff betwee the < > with your own values...
/nick <yournick>
/ns register <yourpass> <youremail>
now, when you sign on, you will have to do the following
/ns identify <yourpass>
