I don't know if any of you remember me, but I've been around since the release of C&C: Tib Dawn like a lot of you. Anyways I have a few important questions for the forum members.

Before I return to Renegade I would like these answered please, just so I am up to date.

Mods? Are there any new mods worth a hoot to look at? Any good maps I'm missing (to narrow it down I like medium sized maps with tunnels and 3-4 entrance points only)?

Finally the other questions:
WTF has happened? Have cheats finally broken through Renegade?

Still as many n00bs as always?

What Sniper servers are the best now?

Still a lot of servers?

I'll stop because most of the other questions are easy to figure out on my own. Basically, wassap?

Unfortunatly cheats have become commonplace, however there are a fre developing a contermeasure called Renguard. http://www.renguard.com

Sniper servers?

Crimson79 is the best one that I've played on, though there are many other well known ones that others may recommend.

Number of server?

still lots, but due to cheats the only ones worth playing on are the more reputable ones that moderate well.

I will agree with the fact that the cheater member base of players seems to be diminishing. That can change easily if someone started another site to distribute them. I hope that never happens. Mad

Hey guys, how does the Ren Guard thing work? It's a seperate program? Do I just need to have it open for it to work? If I don't use it will be cheated out of winning the game?

EDIT: What BR is best now? I want to set up my sniper sever again using FDS (I still have it saved on my older comp along will all previous mods and map for Ren.) Thanks sorry if the questions are totally newb.

RenGuard isn't out yet so don't worry about that for now.

If you are going to run a sniper server I suggest using vloktbokys SSM (Sniper Server Mod). You can find it in this thread --> http://www.renforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=8422

Dante is about to release BR.NET 1.45

Good servers to play on:
Crimson79 - sniping action, moderated
n00bsvr01 - AOW, moderated
The-Pits - AOW, moderated
BCServ4 - If you want to see some of the neat server side mods vloktboky is developing.

Most of the good servers are moderated, so any cheaters should be promtly kicked with minimal damage. Most of the time it is obvious when someone is cheating (i.e. they storm into your base solo and mow down every person and vehicle within their field of vision). I believe it has been a month or so since I was in a game with a cheater. So either the moderators have driven the cheaters away, or the cheaters have become bored of ruining games and have moved on to larger things. Either way I think the number of cheaters is going down.

EoESvr02, which was originaly K9TrprSvr (K9's Sniper World) --> K9CowSvr (MadCow Sniper Server) --> FoDSvr02 (Forces of Diversion's Original Sniper Server) is now EoESvr02 (End of Evolution's Original Sniper Server)
