I have been thinking, I want to buy a 24 player renegade server and run it on europe server, maybe run it on usa to, anyway do any of you know any cheap places who could supply one, I will be in need of alot of peeps to help around the costs, as I can't afford it on my own etc. Anyway I will need someone who can supply us with a paypal account, donators etc, The person who supplys the paypal account will own the server and have admin access in game and on IRC. Donators will have access to moderating and some of them will be able to admin in IRC. I think it's a good idea I just need help from people to help me do this.

Your post really should have read -- "Hey, I want to help run a server, but all I can contribute is some money". With a little help, I can add another Renegade server to the n00bstories family, maybe you and I could work something out.

I have a server to use, me and SomeRhino were thinking of running a Sole Survivor server on the USA server with it but all Im waiting for is a bloody serial number, however if anyone has a server serial number just doing nothing then could I please have it? I would love to get the bloody thing sorted but I can't really be assed waiting for a serial number.
Anyway I can't really run it becuase:
1) It doesnt have BR.NET or Renguard (unless someone would be willing to help me set it up).
2) I am not really hosting it for anything (apart from the idea of SS but we are not completely sure).
3) I can't run it ABSOLUTE fulltime (I could only run it from about 2:00pm till about 9:00pm).
4) I don't have a serial number (yet).
But it could be possible to run it but I would need moderators and help.
Unless anybody has any idea what I could run it for (in renegade only) a mod or just another sniper server. I would not mind hosting it for n00bstories but I don't think thats a good idea.

crimson, which option did you select in server matrix? the $150 for 500 gb & co-locate?
I was thinking about that with a 100 mbit uplink 500 gb/month should be enough to run a 24 player server.

Their colo isn't that cheap... the cheap option is their own leased servers. I have the 2.4 Celeron.

If you set up your own server it will probably end up being cheaper in the long run and after you get rid of the server on renegade you can keep the computer and use it for gaming. . . or just stuff
