	| Your problem is not that it's not formatted. 
 That's already step 2.
 
 Stap 1 is to make partitons.
 
 You can use this with the dos Program Fdisk, or whatever tools XP deliver.
 And of course there are more (better) programs on the net to make partitons.

 After this XP will find the HD then step 2 is formatting it.

	| I have no experience with anyother tool myself then the linux partition manager and fdisk. Fdisk isn't that hard to use, but I don't know if XP still has the program. 
 Maybe try http://www.download.com or anything for special tools.
