I painted the bevels and sides red, I think it makes the letters stand out more.

That logo looks soo cool. . . so what exactly is planet Crimson? How long did it take you to make that logo, I think several hours at least.

What is a CAD machine?

CAD = Computer Automated Design , it can make 3d images become objects.

I don't have exact numbers, but I would imagine that CAD machines are too expensive for none-business, home use. But you could compile a bunch of objects, and then rent a machine for a day. [There's always somewhere you can rent big machines like that]

I only found one place with prices on CAD machines and the prices were high. http://www.schott-systeme.com/Pricing.htm Those prices are expensive and then you have all the other stuff for them to get. . .

EDIT: Found a site that actually has CAD Machines. . .

Still...you could rent one for maybe 25-50 dollars and spend the rest on computer hardware... Smile

Where eould you rent one at though? And what format would the thing have to be in so the CAD Machine can make it? And what does it make it out of? Is there a minimum or maximum size that the thing has to be? Also JeffLee how did you make those, I am thinking you used a drill, a dremel, a lot of sand paper, brushes, spray paint, and paints and a huge piece of wood.

Well, look through your phone book to find a person in your area you can rent a CAD machine from, and I'm sure different machines use different programs, but it probably comes with instructions and maybe the computer program. Absolute Worst-Case scenario - you have to design your on a computer built into the machine.
