Oh, just sort of a little inside joke..
Ack continually bitches about anyone and everyone that he can't hit on the server. People like x50cent, snipegod1, etc.. they all have "flicker cheats" according to him.. And he believes it so much, that he's willing to kick people out of the servers for it (one of the main reasons we dropped his mod abilities at The Pits)
I got tired of the crap, and nothing we said mattered.. Everyone that "flickers" is using a cheat to him, and we always had to hear about it.. So, being the sarcastic person that I am, decided that I was just going to tell Ack that he had a "you killed me to fast" cheat, every time he killed me. I've done it a number of times, and it always ends up with some long drawn out conversation about friends stabbing each other in the back, etc.. You know.. that old chestnut.
But now he's taken it to far.. He can't stand being called a cheater himself (even though he doesn't think twice about calling anyone else one) Now he's publicly talking shit about me, The Pits and our server.. It’s just getting rather childish, so I thought I'd make a childish post here too, to keep the little assaults alive where everyone can partake in them.. he wants people to chose sides obviously.. so someone make a poll or something

meh.... who cares what ack does?.... whiney child that needs to get things his way or else..... oh well... i guess it'll come back to bite him in the ass when people start to treat him as he treats others.... fair is fair huh ack?....
but i guess if you're just dying to play with him you'd better let him win or else it's "!ban take your skill elsewhere i'm the king around here"

I noticed this same thing on the n00bstories server. He would kick someone like every 2 minutes for "cheating". I know that there are a lot of cheaters out there, but I honestly don't think there can be that many.

Personally when Im trying to snipe another sniper, while I am zoomed in I strafe back and forth by rapidly alternating A and D. This causes almost no movement in my scope, but im hoping to dodge a bullet that is coming for my head. It could be this sort of strafing causes the "flicker" that ack sees. I have seen snipers that when I scoped them, where vibrating so fast they were almost a blur, and just like an agent on the Matrix, all the bullets I fired at them missed.
It does SEEM like a cheat, but I think its just the nature of the game. I have heard that if you host a game (non dedicated) that enemy snipers never flicker, so maybe its a netcode thing or something, who knows.
Ack if you want we can do some tests to see if we can reproduce this flicker effect, so you will be satifisfied that its not a cheat. I hate to see Ack banned from ThePitts, because I know it was his favorite place to play. At the same time, he cannot just kick and ban anyone who headshots him because he assumes they are using big heads. I have no doubt that he believes that is the case, but from other peoples points of view it appears that he is using the possiblity of cheating as an excuse to kick people.
We all know ack can be a "stubborn" person who sticks to his beliefs and defends them, so I am willing to do some testing with him to ease his mind about this flicker effect.

I tried banning him at first, then remembered something about that which makes it more prudent to kick. So I kicked him out.
He didn't make a good case for himself. I couldn't get a bead on him. I couldn't track him. He was doing a lot of damage to my character with an AUTOMATIC RIFLE AT LONG RANGE and nearly killed me within seconds.
This was a good player using an anonymous login. How was I to know who it was? He moved extremely fast, killed even quicker, and was using an AUTOMATIC RIFLE to do it.
He wasn't using a sniper. He was using a SOLDIER, a HOTWIRE. Now you tell me what the fuck is going on when soldiers can warp just as fast as a sniper unit can.
Sure, it's easy to sit here from afar and go "omg look at him being a n00b cause he kicked my friend out," but your server has the same thing going on...
I'm not going to fight with you over this. You may think I'm a cheating asshole and wanted to harass me over the game. I'm not going to do it to you, so keep it up, I won't be responding in any thread you make about me in the future, just to show that I have some sort of respect for you, whether you care enough to believe it or not.

I've made some choice comments in the server, or on IRC. I keep it there, I don't post anything I write on your forums or on any other forums.
Naturally I'm pissed off with you because you think it's funny to play the devil's advocate and harass me whenever you get the chance. Blazer says you were joking with me about cheating, but no, it's not a joke to accuse someone of cheating... I don't bitch about everyone I can't kill. I only accuse those who move at light speed or who get nothing but perfect shots.
You can go on doing this all you want, I don't know what you're going to accomplish. I'm banned from the server because I refuse to play in a place where someone I've known for over a year thinks I cheat the game. Maybe I'm good. Maybe I'm a sack of shit who has to cheat to pretend to be good. You'll find out when RenGuard is released.
Maybe everything you're saying is a joke to me... But I don't think a joke consists of "I'm going to keep harassing you until you feel bad enough to fess up to cheating."
I think it's the opposite, that you're mad that you can't kill me as easily as I can kill you when I'm in a vehicle. Maybe I'm wrong, perhaps you can show me that I am.

He couldn't hit my hottie with his black hand sniper cause i was charging at him with a spawn rifle while pressing 'a' and 'd' quickly. All i did was this, while keeping my aim on his head level. Took him down to red with me in full health. Next thing i know, i was laughing my ass off caused he banned me for 'flickering'. Oh n0s!! We can't even press 'a' and 'd' buttons anymore!! WE ARE CHEATING!!!! :rolleyes:
