I have a pretty good hunch on who's attacking, since the person IS on the IRC channel AND caused my HOP (temporarily) to be taken away.
I'm not pointing fingers or anything but....

I am right in assuming that when WW goes down any WOL games crash out?
If so is there any way to stop this happening, so that any players who are already playing can continue to play?

Just felt like guessing. 
Btw gibberish, i think if WOL goes down DoS style, nobody will be able to see the server listings or see any of their buddies. Once you're playing in a server, it's pretty much a direct connection TO that server and WOL isn't involved one bit. Until the game ends when it may submit ladder info etc.
You should theoretically be able to play on as normal if you're already playing. Just nobody else can join from then onwards. You may have problems when it tries to cycle onto the next map tho, when it reports back into WOL.
Of course, i could be wrong.

You may have problems when it tries to cycle onto the next map tho, when it reports back into WOL.

You are correct, however when the map changes and the server trys to report the stats, it crashes.
This is what I am trying to stop.

No, if the server loses connection to WOL, an amsg is sent saying "Quiting due to Westwood Online connection loss." and the game immediately ends.
Note: WOL is back up. I don't know who the attacker is/was.

1. Crimson how do you know it was a DoS?
2. They are stupid to DoS a server owned by EA.
3. Hopefully, if there is any mainenence needed, EA will fix that along with other stuff.

Is this message shown on the server or the players machine?
Because on the players machine it doesn't say anything about westwood just that the server was shut down.
