I was wondering what the true lowest system requirements for a computer would be, meaning the C&C Renegade game wouldn't lag at all.

I use to run on an AMD 550mhz w/256mb RAM and it worked ok for me as long as the game wasn't too big. "Lag" meaning choppy game play for the purposes of my post mainly has to do w/your CPU speed. So you may be able to play multipler online 3v3 on a 350mhz just fine. I was able to get like 40/50FPS on small games (4v4-6v6) w/my 550mhz.
So my guess would be :
350mhz
64mb/128mb RAM
3d Graphics Card w/16 MB RAM. (or 8mb as the above person stated !)
The game would run ok in SMALL games only such as 1v1 to (maybe) 5v5. Anything over that u would be in a bad place.
My previous/current config is :
AMD 550mhz/(850mhz current)
TNT2 32mb RAM «- P.O.S. oooooold school graphics card.
256mb RAM «- "old" PC133 RAM
I currently get as low as 15-30FPS in big games (12v12 & up) and 40-60FPS in small games (7v7 and smaller).
(freaking weird double post )

I have:
AMD Duron 750 overlocked to >820Mhz
512 Mb RAM
Gainward GeForce 4 [440]
10Gig Matsushitsa HD wich spins slower than a record player.
Biostar M7VKb VIA chipset MotherBoard
Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 750 SuperBright Monitor
MS Optical InteliMouse
Windows 2000 SP2
Intel V92 HaM Modem
Freeserve Anytime
I run the game with full graphics settings.
I don't usualy get any lag, unless: A) the server fps hits sub 30 B) A big Flame rush happens, C) I take a screenshot or D) Freeserve are busy.

AGP aperture size shouldn't be set above 128 on most systems. If you own a 3D accelerator, which most people do nowadays and it has more than 16MB On board memory then there is no need for a high AGP apature size. It's pretty false that you should set the AGP aperture size to half your ram because it's pointless, basically it controlls how much memory the AGP bus can have for texturing in PCI mode (Nvidia Vanta/LT used it). If your running 3D games then it's unlikly your gonna be using the system ram for texturing as it's handled by the cards video memory. Unless your running an old card (talking Nvidia Vanta/LT, Cirrus Logic, SIS etc.) that were the first cards to use the AGP bus and had similar features to their PCI family then you won't need to change the aperture size above 64.

i run on:
celeron 1.4ghz
1024mb ddram
radion 9700
scsi 18gb 12k rpm
and i get around 85fps steady at 1024x768x32 with 85hz refresh rate. It drops sometimes, but for the most part its always nice and high. when i host (some people know i can host good, i hosted a few stunt park games for 127 people) i get 85sfps. here is the odd thing...if i set my settings to 800x600x32 and everything enabled my fps drops to aroun 25-30. so my card processes graphics better at high resolution? i did a win benchmark and got 14000 on 1024x768 and 9000 on 800x600. i think its pretty odd, but i have no problems with renegade.
