Hi
i have been playing on GSA since the demo days of renegade, and i must admit that it has its fair share of n00bs and general a$$holes, otherwise 80% of the clans share a real good bond and most get along very well. The main selling point of Gsa to me is the community aspect, the lobbys are usually spoilt by a select few, and thats nothing what the mute cant handle. I have tried to play on WOL and i found it to be a little "sterile" in the way in which the community interacts, i admit i have a rather limited experience of WOL though.
As for the bygames servers, although i for one appreicated their exisitence there is no denying the fact that it was generally the first place that people went once they bought renegade. Although overtime i felt that the By servers were slowly degrading, the pings were generally good, but there was an substantial amount of server lag, and i for one have had many run ins with longbow. The most heart breaking point of the bygames servers closing was all the n00bs (not newbies) and cheaters migrating to the other servers and generally diluting the game for the serious and fairplaying gamers. none of this post was meant to cause offence or restart the flamewar, it is just my 2 cents so take it as you feel necesarry. If anyone from WOL would like to come play in a heavily moderated and cheat free server please feel free to drop into one of the alliance server's, information for these servers can be found at http://ceoclan.net/publicladder/ or pay us a visit at www.dfc-hq.net

bygames was a commercial gaming service. As such, we couldn't run it like a personal or clan server - we couldn't just kick people because they were "n00bs" etc
Anyway, we'll be back.....

Sometimes I'll play on GSA. The server I do play on is Ground-Zero Renegade I think. Most of the people that play on GSA are fairly easy for me, I go there to boost my ego. =P
But if I feel like a challenge I'll play on WOL.

I never said GSA is crap, I was just stating that most of the people I play with there seem a little easier than the ones I play with on WOL. I wasn't making sun of it.
And what do you mean by being an outcast? The last time I remember we didn't have to sign any papers statng that we will be rejected if we play on a different server.

I can see where you would get this from, i must admit when i first started playing renegade, it was hard to find a community to get involved with.
As a hardcore Tiberian Sun player, the gaming community there was phenomenal. But once i looked more into Renegade i could see the gaming community here was very strong.
The majority of the large organised servers had there own communitys, for instance, from what i can remember.. The-Pits is proberly one of the oldest communities on Renegade. But not forgetting the earlier communities like the Wolf servers. You just had to rummage.
The community here is very strong, the chat rooms on WOL are sterile...
Anyway..
As for GSA..
MAY IT BURN IN HELL
In the end it doesn't matter if you are who you say you are. You will still mean nothing to me.
When i have kids, everytime i drive past a fast food restaurant, im gonna punch my kid in the face, then they'll never wanna come..
