I use Photoshop because it has a better interface, better quality tools and and everything is morec accesable. There are many features of Photoshop that are better than others but there mustbe some technical reasons aswell of which I do not know...

My favourite functions are the history, the very good layer system & the tolarency system.

Photoshop is very good, but very expensive too.

I don't know if Painshop Pro or Photoshop is better, I think both Programms have ther advantage.

The Plugin works fine for both programms, so it is your own desicion.

There is no question in the professional industry as to the necessity and quality of Photoshop. I proudly use it exclusively and many of you have seen the quality of work I have produced from pure digital painting with no sourcing whatsoever.
That being said, Paint Shop is a great option for those getting started in skinning and digital painting especially due to the prohibitive cost of Photoshop (I should know).

Yeah, the cost is a little steep. But i'm getting hooked up by one of my friends who owns Photoshop 7.
