when i make a terrain and save it, then come back later, i open it and it causes an error, shuts down RenX, resets my comp and closes half the programs on my tool bar, does anyone know how to fix this?

If you had took the time to read the whole thread you would have seen there is a 2000 fix also. Duh. The fix was released from Microsoft quite a while ago and is available through the Windows Update. Before you come up with some smart ass remark my Win2K backup system has the patch installed on it and works just fine. Just look for the KB824136 patch when you go to update.
