I can explain what VPN is and does but not help you setting up the thing.

VPN is "Virtual Privite Networking" which is a direct link to another computer or IP device. You use it to setup a network from your computer to the other computer or device over an existing network such as the internet. You can then comunicate between the two like a local network. It is setup much like a standard dialup connection but connects to an IP not a number.

I assume BR is setup to send the data to BR running on the PC that is linked via VPN. Maybe somone could help you set it up.

All BR needs to work is to be able to read the renlog file of the server. So if you can mount the drive/directory of the the remote computer, you can have BR on one computer and the FDS on another. However, I think that BR checks to see if you have the FDS installed when you install, so Im not sure how you would get around that...I suggest posting on the BR section of the renevo forums (http//www.renevo.com) and Dante will have a better suggestion.

Colonel

You can run BR on a LAN or INTRAnet but not through a VPN or INTERnet.

R.I.P. TreyD. You will be missed, but not forgotten.
