I "Q". When I am in an apc, especially when choppers are about, I find it most convenient to press "Q" and let a passenger shoot suppression fire while I drive.
Sometimes, I have to take away that privilage, when I see the gunner killing free characters (they spawn back in the base, man!) when they start shooting the building I am rushing towards (shoot at a diiferent building to distract them!) or when I have a clear entrance in the base, and the gunner is drawing attention to what would otherwise be an unnoticed APC rush.
Still, more often than not, I Q U.

When I ride with Giz, he usually Qs me. I try to attack buildings we are not rushing, and shoot tanks, heli's and 1K units. However I have also downloaded Giz's misbot, so I rarely hit anything besides stationary buildings and tanks.
When I drive, I don't Q anyone. This is not because I don't want to, but rather I can't. For some reason, Q doesn't work on my computer. I can press Q as much as I wan't, but it will not go to anyone besides me. Some people get a bit pissed at me because I didn't Q them. Sorry, but I can't.

For those of u lucky enough not to have 56, plz remember some people do have it and cant aim at squat if u put the privilege into their hands. It may not be their fault but I beg people not to do that to me when im a pass.

I almost always use Q. Unless there's a time where a tank is almost dead and the gunner in my vehicle simply can't hit it, I re-take control to finish that tank off then give it back to the other guy. It doesnt really bother me if he can't hit squat at least he's having fun trying (I hope) even if he's on 56k, since I played this game for nearly a year with 56k and still had many enjoyable matches.
I do seem to notice one thing though. When they're gunning for you, and you rotate your vehicle, why does their gun rotate with the vehicle and cause their aim to go to hell? when I'm gunning your gun direction is independant and the turning of the vehicle doesn't affect it. Maybe it has something to do with enabling "lock camera to turret"...

Because the turret can not rotate at the same speed the as the tank can turn, if you are gunner, and you whip your mouse across the screen, it will take a few for the turret to catch up.

That wasn't the point. When your gunning and someone else is driving, you and only you control the weapon. When the driver turns the vehicle, your gun does not turn with it, you choose to turn the gun yourself if you want to.
I didn't understand why with some people the case was their weapon turned with the vehicle when you turn your vehicle.

When there is one person driving, and you don't have the camera locked to the barral, it will turn with the vehicle...
But when there is one person driving, and one person gunning, its not possible

It bugs me when people automatically assume that you'll give them gun control. They jump in and say "press Q". When yuo say no, they get all irate. Buy your own APC....
The other beauty is when you buy a tank and someone hops in, expecting to gun for you. What am I, a chauffer?
