all of you that have said that if a hack was ever released for Renegade it would ruin it... well i give you for example Counter-Strike the game has hundreds of hacks for it yet as long as the fans deal with it given with the help of Cheating Death and Valve anti cheat system which are equivlents to Renguard.

It's hard to ruin a game that's already CRAP. Counter-Strike has a crappy hack-infested community, crappy gameplay, and crappy graphics. If you'd take away everyone from the Counter Strike community that used any cheats, the damn game/mod would be dead.

LOL...
Now that's probably correct. 95% of the players who play CS are probably too stupid to know how to hack the game.
Hacking, or reverse engineering, Et Cetera. Going into the files/game and creating a small program, applet, application, whatever to cheat in the game.
A cheater, a person who uses the small program, applet, application, whatever to cheat in the game.
As you can see there is a difference between hacking the game, and cheating in the game.
Now, the percentage of people who actually cheat? I'd say somewhere between 80-90%.
