	| That's not too respectful at all, but I don't think Arnold (or however you want to spell it) will make it anyway.

	| Just wanted to say that its nice to actully find a forum with a few conservatives on it. Ah, such a relaxed feeling of being with people that know what they're talking about. I don't have to do all the dirty work myself.
Anyone ever heard of The Garage in Burnsville, MN?

 http://forums.thegarage.net

ouch. A 99.9% liberal forum. It's brutal. On that forum, I am Snoturky, I keep the left at bay, defending the right. (No pun intended, he he)

Apparently, he overlooked the flaws in that factual comparison. If 10 populants exist in Country A, with 5 being doctors, and Country B has 100 populants with 20 of them being doctors...
-Country A, with only 10 people, has a 50% rate
-Country B, with more people (100), has a 20% rate

But now back to our real-world statistics. Iraq, with a population of 24,683,313 (as reported in the July 2003 numbers on http://www.cia.gov), has quite a few less people than America's 290,342,554 (same source), statistics not good to work out without more information. If someone can find reliable figures on the number of doctors in Iraq and America, you can plug them in for x and y, respectively, in the following equations:

 Iraq's female doctors = (.38)(x)

 America's female doctors= (.25)(y)

It will then be clear who actually has more female doctors.

Edit: That is .38 times x there for Iraq's female doctors. My view showed a smiley face instead (which doesn't fit in too well).

Just turn off smilies for that post, or put a space in between the number and parenthesis.

And it doesn't look like he's comparing the actual number of female doctors, but the percentage of how many of the doctors are female.

	| The title was something about America having to catch up to the number of female doctors in Iraq.
Edit: I looked for it: IRAQI women more educated and empowered than AMERICAN AND AUSTRALIAN women???

	| Basically...
 One Republican Nominee- Current Governor.
 Many Democrat Nominees.

All Republicans vote for the Current Governor and all the Democrats split their votes over like 5 canidates. Republicans win and Current Governor gets re-elected...

That's not a flaw in factual comparison, it's the way percentages work. Yeah, country A may only have 10 people with 5 being doctors, but if Country B had 100 people with 20 being doctors they're still behind because they have more people that could have become doctors but didn't.

Think of the countries like water. If you take 5 gallons of water and fill it with 50% green coloring, it's going to be pretty green. Now, lets say you have 100 gallons. You may put more coloring into it than the first time, but the water won't be as green until you put the same percent.

In the context of the point he was trying to prove, his arguement is flawed.
