Jan "Zunnie" Wessels was a friend for near twenty years. His funeral was today and while it was very sad, it was very nice to see how much his family loved him, Especially his nieces and nephews who he talked about so often and with so much love.
He was mentor to me in so many ways. I'm so sad that he has left this Earth.
He was the best of us and so free with his time and emotion. Without "sunny Zunnie" I wouldn't be the person I am today, have my job or the skills required for it.
Perhaps a little overly poetic and sentimental, but I left a copy of renegade on his casket. I spoke with his family and told them of his legacy, achievements, accomplishments and the impact he had on so many people.
I will miss him deeply.

Thank you for that reborn, at least one of us was there to send our friend on his way to the beyond.
