Happy 15th birthday, Ren! You're the cause of so many sleepless nights, adrenaline rushes, virtual friendships turning into real life friendships, organizing clan meetings in Belgium, the UK, Holland, Norway, arguments with my girlfriend / wife, smiles and tears, joy and laughter, and of course drama, drama and more drama.

Well the game kind of has changed though. We can do so much more now than 15 years ago its ridiculous. Things we were told would never be possible even.

I can only imagine what people like Greg Hjelstrom and the other developers of Renegade would think if they saw what we have done to their engine...

I dont use Facebook (for reasons I wont go into) but I certainly have no objections to someone else who does have Facebook making contact with any ex-Westwood devs who might be on there...

All hail the backward arty. The light tank that could beat the med.

Always remember the obelisk that could be defeated by a rock. And the Merlin missiles that would haphazardly lock.

Let us never forget, the Z axis offset, of the guns in every aircraft there was.

But there were those that knew, with a key such as 'Q', that another passenger could take the reigns.

Undocumented strafing keys. Server-side hacks. Amongst the servers I will miss STORM and W4RNING, not for the people, but for what they made.

Happiness in my life.
