Spoony was the leader / strategy player. He wasn't the greatest individually speaking but put him in a team and he'd drag the team forward. Preferably in bigger games, indeed.

I can vouch for that - I didn't see many other clanwars guys try to lead big games (I know clearsh0t was a beast as well in that regard), but I don't think any other clanwars guys could come close to those two when it comes to leading a team in Renegade

I did pretty much the same thing as Wrs I was just better at staying alive and protecting my precious KD he was a much better player overall but Mike was really the only person who could out snipe me in jelly 1 or n00bstories. Too bad Mike's a moron that blocked me on steam for seemingly no reason. I guess I was out of line for telling him he got ripped off when he came to me for trading advice! If you read this Mike you're a douche. I think it's really absurd that you tell people I'm weird when you dropped out college to play video games 19 hours a day. K bye miss you add me back on steam.

Clearsh0t sounded like a 40 year old virgin there's no way that guy could be a good leader cause his voice couldn't be taken seriously. Spoony was a really good leader/ strategist but not actually too good at the technical aspects of the game like sniping and tank battles and pistoling and the other concepts that separate you from your peers. Tell Mike I am better than him at counterstrike even though he has 3000 hours played and I have 300. Advise him to go outside occasionally. C4packer made a great informative video on how to do so.

It is humorous to me you're so worried about how you're perceived that you decide to make up things and attack me personally because I called you weird on Jelly forums like a year ago. Thanks Chuck for bringing this to my attention!

people used to not really like playing vs me and wrs in my -BT- clan, we used to pull such nerdy shit people would usually leave within a couple of maps.

I used to not like playing against you anywhere because I'd spend a lot of (if not most of) the match neutralizing your efforts and attempting to counter you

The SHTMN was pretty good at everything and usually came with a wolly repair guy so it was double trouble

Spoonerd always had a guaranteed 5 repairman nuthuggers all game and people still thought he was a boss in pub matches

Shitman was one of the best people to play renegade with and one of the worst to play l4d with Very Happy

Some players were an overall waste of repairs
Like the WarHawkVJ guy with his old man Mumble crew - they lost so many games because the buildings died while they super repped his arty or med instead

Spoony was always worth repairing, but people would flock to jez636363 like he was Jesus or something
It's hard to be bad in an arty with that much support, honestly

I remember a com match against terrible gamerz0ne where the entire Nod team repaired buildings and luna's arty on Under and survived the map (losing by 40k or more, but still)

10 guys repairing one arty - fucking awful lol

When I saw spoony in game, I stayed in base the little sneaky fuk. So many times on Field you were hear out of nowhere "Nod Airstrip Destroyed" and it was spoony sneaking in again.

When I saw Hitman in game, I stayed in a vehicle or I know I would die from his sniper rifle. Razz

You both are/were all around elite players and Liquid was right you made us work.

OMG funny Liquid said that = even today they still flock to Jez to rep him. I seriously think he pays or brings someone with him. lol

I think in pub games I had the annoying ability to really screw things up fast for the opposite team when in the right position lol

it was pub games im pretty sure 95% of people on this forum could screw them up really quick if they gave a shit no offense or anything but ive had pub matches where i have picked up the sniper rifle drop in the first minute and gotten 50 kills before anyone else in the game has reached double digits

i prefer islands or city fly but you catch my drift. brb jump sniping at the wall into the GDI base with sakura crate and unlimited ammo ... no one can even leave the spawns

From what I remember HTMN did and could raise more server hell with a 500 than you generally did Jesse (he would go after the base instead of tunnel jerk, and that is a more effective way to royally fuck a team over)

With a ramjet I give you the edge over him

Renegade would have been different had sniper rifles been the single player ones
All the 500s would do 70 bodyshot damage (a headshot would still kill any infantry unit because 70 x 5 = 350, meaning the weapon would take more skill to clean house with) and all the ramjets would be single-shot

Imagine tunnel fights where other infantry units would actually matter

Snipers would still be important, but would require more distance a lot of the time (not like that's a bad thing)

The downside is arties and flying units would end up being too powerful if the ramjet ROF was dropped

Oh Renegade

this game would still be super easy because there's no recoil on any of the weapons, you literally just point and shoot. after playing competitive PUGs of counterstrike:GO on altpug and ESEA it's hilarious to come back to this game where as long as I click on someone they die. i think i get more hackusations now than I used to. renegade is like a training game for real games.

Renegade was a hodge podge of really goofy shit all crammed into one package that somehow worked itself out in the long run

Probably the biggest weird thing was hits being client based instead of server based

Having no recoil made sniping totally ludicrous

Repair guns are nice too
