problem with jelly was the sfps lag, i actually get more ping in rencorner, but theres no sfps lag
jelly made it unplayable sometimes

Jelly has been unplayable for a long time I agree. (Cus ur banned lol) But really the sfps lag was getting more and more unbearable by the day. n00bstories was really good back in the day. It was only 35 minute maps and I'd frequently get over 100 kills

I got most kills like every game I ever played in jelly 1. My overall kd on the ladder was 7.1 with like 70000 kills 9000 deaths or something close don't want to do math

I did pretty much the same thing as Wrs I was just better at staying alive and protecting my precious KD he was a much better player overall but Mike was really the only person who could out snipe me in jelly 1 or n00bstories. Too bad Mike's a moron that blocked me on steam for seemingly no reason. I guess I was out of line for telling him he got ripped off when he came to me for trading advice! If you read this Mike you're a douche. I think it's really absurd that you tell people I'm weird when you dropped out college to play video games 19 hours a day. K bye miss you add me back on steam.

Our KOSs2-server was running on a dedi managed by the BlackIntel dudes. All credit goes to them . They actually firgured the SFPS-problem out back in what... 2009? ... it was mostly caused by slow hard disk writing because of the huge amount of logs that the bots back then needed to write.
The solution was double:
* BI wrote their own bot which didn't need to write logs but kept the logs in memory. We also admin'ed our own IRC server, on which the bot had Superadmin status so it could keep spitting out information like there's no tomorrow. Without this status, the bot would wait for 1 sec between each line, otherwise it would be kicked for spamming. This bot didn't have all features, so we kept brenbot running with limited features (those not included in BI-bot). BI-bot also included BIATCH long before its public release, which helped us expose some cheaters
* BI used very fast writing hard disk drives. This was before SSD-drives, can't remember the exact name, I'm not so familiar with hardware
We had a steady SFPS and very little lag. The European players got very low ping. Later we moved our server from Holland to Norway and ping generally went up but the server staid quite stable.
EWD and Stealtheye were long ahead of their time in Ren. We helped keeping the money flowing (bandwith was more expensive back then ) and the player activity. It did drop quite a bit when Jelly took our a00-name off because I had criticized some of his moderator choices when one of our clan members got kicked... Good ol' Rene drama...
For general info, we actually bought the dedi instead of renting it, which was a nice investment but we were cost efficient in less than a year, I think.
I do wonder what happened to Spoony. I respected him a lot back in the days, I hope he fares well now .

Compared to public players he was ... In clan wars he was average at best... Think the only time I ever lost to him was city fly 2v2 me and karmai vs shitman and spoonerd. I got both 200 boxes and we killed Harvy and karmai begged me to buy him a quick flame tank. Obviously he loses it and gameovers

Spoony was the leader / strategy player. He wasn't the greatest individually speaking but put him in a team and he'd drag the team forward. Preferably in bigger games, indeed.
