Hi,

when my renegade updated I could no longer run the game anymore for some reason. I got a missing MSXVCR110.dll error but i fixed that. Then i got 'The application was unable to start correctly error code 0xc000007b'. So I reinstalled the whole game and tried installing the TT 4.1 RC2 patch.

I get this error now below

does anyone know what the problem is and know of a solution?

thanks

Please contact me on irc.blackintel.org #tt or any of the IM networks in my profile and we'll figure out what's wrong.

I have identified the issue and it will be fixed as soon as possible, hopefully in a few hours. I'll post in the release topic when it is fixed. Until then, you can fix the issue by installing the following packages manually if you have not already done so:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=35
http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30679

The RC2 installer erroneously attempts to install both at the same time, whereas only one simultaneous installation is allowed. That causes one of both installations to fail.

Thanks to everyone who helped me debug this issue by reporting on IRC/PM. Smile

You get that because I disabled the updater for now to avoid other people running into the same issue you did. So it's completely normal. You can just press "Yes" and play. We plan to push another update later today to fix the installation issues for everyone, after that the message should be gone.
