How are they made? I want to make several custom ones for my map. Is there a tutorial?

Create square shaped texture. Save as .dds. Add to purchase settings in LE for the unit it should be used for (use a .tga extension in this dialog, it'll pickup the dds file automatically)
Remember to keep the height & width of the texture as a power of 2 (64x64, 128x128, 256x256 etc)
