does anybody know, why tha f***ing FDS is writing in Windows-Registry a key in "RunOnce"???
It runs RenegadeFDS-Exec. on booting after logon....
FDS is looping then, trying to connect to the net, but it can't, cause windows has to dial-up first... nothin goes forward

yes, the renegadeserver.exe is a wrapper application that is used to keep the server.dat (actually an exe renamed to a .dat) running.
so therefore, it places a runonce key in the registry to keep it going after boot, simply type "quit" before clicking on the x in the upper right hand corner, and it will stop this loading process.
now, if you don't have alot of problems with server crashes, try this, rename the server.dat to server.exe and run that instead of the renegadeserver.exe.

it directly shells the server instead of having the renegadeserver wrapper application (the one that restarts it if you press x or it crashes).
shells = opens
wrapper application = a program that runs in the background monitoring another application

guys, could you just please STFU about it. Crimson and I talked yesterday over. and i'll say it again, that wasnt me, it was one of the assholes at my school. it was the same IP because all of the Comps are routed through one Server, then a firewall, using one IP address.
