Hey guys, been awhile since I've been on here. About 4 years ago I asked for help with getting a Desktop computer, and it's still running great. Now I'm looking into getting a laptop towards the end of the year, and was hoping you could help. Although my desktop is good for gaming, I would like the laptop to be as well.
My budget is about $1,000-2,000.
I'm hoping for:
At least 8 gigs ram, 12 or more would be nice though
17 inch or larger screen
at least 500 gig hard drive, but 1 TB or more would be cool.
I never was good at picking out the processor or video card, but I hear intel core I7 is the best atm.
I like buying from newegg and amazon, so I've mainly been looking at those laptops. I've also thought about driving over to Best Buy to see what they have there.
Thanks for the help.

Yeah, I get torn when it comes to reviews and laptops. On one hand, you know if it's reliable if there's a lot, but on the other then it's probably old tech.

well i dont know why you're wanting to spend 2000 on a gaming laptop truthfully. 1200 on a desktop can get you top of the line .. 2000 on a gaming laptop wouldnt be even as good as probably a 1000 dollar desktop lol

Well I would like to have a laptop for convenience.
Aside from that, I think technology is just my guilty pleasure, so it makes me want the best kind when I get it x.x
It's like an addiction type thing xD

tbh i bought a new laptop for school from asus about a month ago now before i left for university and it runs every game i've tried to play so far (the new counterstrike, MW3 on the free steam weekend, etc) on high settings and it was only 350 dollars .. so for 2000 dollars that gaming laptop better run on thin air with no cords attached.

mac is for people with no character
It's all part of the big illusion that we perpetuate on ourselves and in turn is perpetuated upon us. When we believe, we engage the illusion. When we stop believing we shatter the illusion and shatter ourselves in the process. Because we are, part of it.

I was under the impression that MACs weren't compatible with a lot of the games I play.
