I've known about this for weeks now, as its hot all over the stock market news feeds... I do a lot of trading. Its speculation at the moment since a firm supposedly made an offer.
But then that would be like me making an offer to your mom, and then there being a news story about her being a hooker the next day - regardless of her acceptance or denial :/
