error during renegade installation [message #472138]

having The First Decade i wanted to install renegade again but i gotten an error (link to screenshot below) i though that it may have been in the cd, so since my brother got 1 as well i used his cd but yet i gotten the same problem.

currently using Windows 7, have never played renegade on windows 7 before just recently went to windows 7, though everything is fully updated.

It means your TFD disc is corrupted/scratched.

What you can do is download C&C Renegade online, install it with a pirated key (dont think the orginal game accepts TFD serials), then use a serial changer to change your serial key to your TFD Renegade one.

Long time and well respected Renegade community member, programmer, modder and tester.

Got the same error message myself years ago, my TFD disc is scratched as fuck. I just torrented it off a torrent site and use my old serials with it and it works perfectly. Thumbs Up

P.S. it's a dual layer DVD though, so the torrent's like 10 or slightly less than 10 gigabytes.

Just need to dl DataCD.iso and dl 4.0

If you have a legit cd key this will work. TFD keys probably don't work.

wittebolx pretty much died off, forums went worse with less activity, servers getting empty suppose due to lack of updates, last time i checked was 1 year and they were pretty much dead with like only morderators/admin/owner on forum none else, when i search now i can't even find their website anymore, i have no clue about noman where he is/what game he's playing

currently at cloudgaming, made this account way back when i was mod at wittebolx gaming Razz
