Why are you guys being jerks about this shit. Its supposed to better the community, your supposed to take peoples advice into considerations - if you dont no one will use your product, simple.

I know flooded and hold him in the highest respect, now I know alot of your are gonna go off "Well we dont know who you are". I have no problem with people not knowing who I am and if they want I will kick their ass in renegade no problem. Throw together a team of 8 and we will put you out of your missery (wait no then you will all call us cheaters, lets wait for renguard shall we?).

Ok I understand most you guys are people who couldn't make it in renegade and the only way to get known was to make maps and programs for renegade. To be an asshole to people and brag about your stuff, well thats fine and dandy, but when it comes down to it all you guys are interested in is attention. As I say throw a team of 8 people together and I will be glad to show you what im talking about - get beat by an "unkown player".

As far as RenGuard goes I wish it the best of luck and hope it works because I dont want the community to die, its a shame jerks like you guys are making it though and will not let someone interested in giving you a hand help.

XtremePro - Ill back my name up.

Oh I see... So thats why ACK continues to make all these maps although everyone hates them and none are on 95% of renegade servers? Thats why you make a site called n00b stories to put people down and hurt there feelings? Thats why your making RenGuard - To Save Renegade. WOOO. Nice. Im really proud of all you guys.

I mean it is kind of sad that half of the best players in renegade have alrady quit. Then again it does make you guys look like better players Smile. I hope that makes you happy.

So about that 8v8?

1. ACK is not on the RenGuard team, and what would his making maps that "everyone hates"(according to you, public opinion says otherwise) have to do with us supposedly wanting attention?

2. The n00bstories site was made as a place to report n00b players, and the longevity and stability of that site is one of the reasons Westwood Studios handed over their official forums (these) to Crimson.

3. Yes, we are making RenGuard to save Renegade, even for people like you who apparently don't want to be saved.

4. No time for 8vs8. I have better things to do than own you at Renegade.

Skill at Renegade has little to do with RenGuard. I admit that I'm probably better than a lot of people at Renegade, but I'm certainly not among the "best", though I was part of a clan that won first place in the ladder for like 3 months in a row back when Renegade was first released.

But I don't feel the need to back that up. Whether someone can destroy my base doesn't change my responsibilities or ability in RenGuard.

Yeah, okay. I want to see you do something for this game. Since you're obviously such a good player, I'm sure you'll have no issues branching out into helping the game live.

It isn't my concern as to whether or not people play my levels.

You don't speak for everyone. If people all hated what I did, no one would download anything I made, and no one would play them on servers. I've played my levels on hundreds of servers over the time this game has been released. I've got my own satisfaction from playing and making this live.

As for me being inferior in the game.. How would you know? I've played constantly for almost two years, since the first day of the beta testing. I know many people who can vouch for my skill in playing this game, be it by destroying buildings, sniping people, being a soldier, driving a tank, reparing structures, or flying aircraft... Whatever you can think of, I've done it, and I make it my perogative to get better at what I do.

Here's my current ranking (Which doesn't mean all that much, but still.)

http://www.n00bstories.com/stats/renegade_stats.php?player=JupitersK&team=gdi

My current kills\deaths whatever else? The only server I play on is The Pits. Thus you'll find my ranking there.

No, I don't suck at this game. I'm fairly confident that I'm one of the best out there. Why do I make levels? Not becuase I suck, but because I love this game, and participated in its development. Disagree if you wish, but I hardly see how your opinion is going to change the facts here.

So anyhow... If you know Fl00d3d, shouldn't you know that him and I are what I would consider to be friends? So why even attack me here? I've done nothing to you, nor have I done anything to Fl00d3d besides try to befriend him and get him to help our community instead of destroy it.

Sorry man, but you really sound like one of those depressed kids who go "well I hate this place because I got kicked out... so they all suck now, all of them are n00bs and I owned them, that's because I'm so great and wonderful.."

Get a reality check before you even try to insinunate something like that.

You guys are the ones backing down. And if you were in DoA (the only clan thats won 3 cups in renegade) crimson i sure as hell dont know wtf Apoc and clearshot were smoking.

Now look here I never said one of you guys suck at renegade. But I can back up every thing I say and I have no problem doing it. As for ACK I dont really like playing with the alt command spam king of the world because it hurts my ears. But as I say you guys are taking this way to lightly Smile, im a depressed kid eh?

Go around and think you own everyone in your path at renegade, go on and think you can own me in a second, because i guardentee i know plenty of better players than all of you and that have even owned you on your own ladders. Not to mention myself.

But whatever, go ahead and step off. Works for me. I left a challenge on the FoD forum.

Unless you're unable to comprehend what you write, you implied that we're below average players. Try reading a bit more literature - you'll understand.

I don't think I can own you in a second. I don't know who you are and I really don't give a shit beyond this forum... Enough said.

I'm honestly trying to find the difference in mentality between you and you little buddy, Fl00d3d. Both come in here boasting, then went off on a curve and insulting the leaders of this establishment.

You can go around and say "Yeah, I own you, I'm so cool. I have a huge penis, everyone should conform to my reality because I'm the king of the castle, biatches." and really, you're the just mimicing a hot air balloon. You blow, and blow, and blow hot air out of that oriface on your face, and no one gives a damn. I know I sure don't.

I think Blazer made it quite clear that he isn't going to play you, and personally, I would like to see what you hope to achieve from winning a game anyway. Would it stop RenGuard? Nope. Would it give you that satasfaction you need to get to sleep at night, knowing you managed to beat some people at a video game? I would bet on it.

Now, if you're not going to do anything productive other than wave your dick around, then kindly move along for people who have some ambition for this project.

Viva la Resistance!
XP:

Thanks for standing up for me. You know just as well as I do that I'm a Command and Conquer lover and that I've given my life to Renegade. I've played since demo and I WOULD consider myself among the best. I'll be on that team of 8 with XP that plays anyone who claims to be so good they won't waste their time in assured victory (Blazer). Put your money where your mouth is.

I think what we're seeing here are the "oldschool" players versus the "old school" programmers. Is one better than the other? I guess not. The programmers rave about their works. The players rave about their skills. As long as everyone is truely doing it so support the game and not for fame it's all good.

Maybe I lacked in the programming experience needed to produce a quality site. But you know what? My heart was in it. And I was doing it for the right reasons. Which is why it hurt.

I love this game. As corny as it may sound, I feel like I'm a part of this game. I'm one of those people that throws fits and gets depressed when things go wrong in the community. Which is why I created my website.

I really hate seeing everyone fight about this. And I wasn't making the problem any better by arguing with you guys which is why I stopped. I stopped in good faith that you would too.

Everyone please take note of the following:

Renegade is a wonderful game. There are a lot of people that have put their heart and soul into it (whether it be programmers, map/mod makers, or simple gamers). We all want to see this game succeed. Like I said before we need to work together. We all have our skeptecism. And we'll always have those people that act like kids and whine. But now is the time to be a man and stand up for what is right. We're alone. Westwood's not here to protect us anymore or fix things for us. We have to work together.

XP, again thanks for standing up for me. Crimson and Blazer I hope we can reach a truce ... as I now stand behind your work, in good faith. ACK, yes I would consider you a friend. I know a lot of people have fun arguing with you and trying to put you down -- but I respect your work and the fact that you enjoy spending your spare time working on these things. Even though we've had our differences you've always been straight foward and patient with me.

Let's end the fighting now. If there is one thing we need to look to that we all have in common ... its the game.

Do it for Renegade.

fl00ded:

Please read these words carefully and hear them.

You are more than welcome to put together a team and create an anti-cheat. What you do with your life and your time is your business, OF COURSE.

My only intent from the get-go was to make sure you were aware that much time and effort is already going into a project, by a team of people who have already produced other software for Renegade, and because of that, the RenGuard team, and apparently many community members, think your project would be futile.

You know how infuriating it is to be in a game, pull off a couple great headshots, and be accused of having big heads? Having the skill you've acquired in a past year and half be attributed to cheating? You know how frustrating and angering this is. Not just you, but everyone reading this. Back in the old west, cheating at poker was grounds for murder. Your accusations of us not being trustworthy is the same. You come in here making wild accusations that we'd stuff a trojan into RenGuard and think we won't get pissed?

I, and the rest of the team, strongly invite you to investigate RenGuard. Put it through all your tests. I'm confident you won't find any "shady dealings" or viruses of any kind.

Yes, we have a truce. Stop trying to bash the RenGuard project and no more harsh words will be exchanged.

OK, I'll switch my focus from helping the community to destroying it.

How's that EMPEROR DANTE?

(1)A lot of people know me. Maybe you don't, but ask just about anyone in GSA. I'm sure they'll tell you they've at least heard of me. But that's besides the point. I mean, we're not here for fame are we Dante?

(2)Don't fucking copy the source of a quickly thrown up frontpage document and think you're making me look stupid. I even told everyone that I threw it up very quickly. It would take two seconds to make the main page into asp or a simple frameset --- then add a javascript that prevents you from viewing the source. Or, further, writing an algorithm to encode the source. I didn't put effort into the site at first ... and to be honest I'm playing with web design. I'm real sure that all of your sites are hosted at your house on a webserver that you personally set up and secured, and written in pure html via notepad. Hmmm. Let me go check right now.
Well, BlazeRegulator.com is running IIS5(win2k) and appears to be hosted through a company and not from your home network. And the domain was purchased through godaddy.com. Ironically registered to Crimson (like every other site she tries to monopolize on).
So, what program do you use to update your site? Frontpage? Dreamweaver? By the way you're missing your meta tags. You might want to undelete them along with the rest of the header information you took out.
(4)RenEvo is completely different than what I was trying to run. RenEvo does its own thing. I'm not trying to run anything or lead anything. You idiots keep thinking that and I keep telling you that's not true. I'm trying to coordinate efforts between different groups. But hey, you can pick your ass all day and boast about your super program that will eventually be cracked. I don't give a shit anymore.
(5)Vent all you want. I'm not intimidated by anyone here because there are probably only 3 people on your team (and you're not one of them) that have more programming experience than me based off what you've said on the fourms. So it's not like I'm overly impressed. I've been playing the game ... not working on mods, skins, maps, or patches like you guys do. If I would have got into that in the first place like you, I'd be right next to you right now and probably on your teams. Again, you don't know anything about me.
(6)I never once worried about you stealing my serial. It'd be plain as day that you did --- in which case I'd report the illegal activity and it'd be done. I never accused you of stealing serials. That's stupid.
(7)Keep thinking like that. That mindframe will lead you to produce something that will be cracked in weeks.
(8 )I already have a serial generator. whooptie fucking do.
(9)When I initially posted the request for programmers and designed that webpage's content --- it was WELL before you had announced RenGuard ... and WELL before anyone was discussing these cheats. I didn't know what language everything was written in because I was a gamer, not a programmer. Now I've switched gears. So excuse me. And, again, I know HTML quite well. I just don't sit in front of my website 24/7 like you guys do.
(10) You'll never know, will you? If I keep encountering stuck up dickheads like you I may very well do that.
"...independent of themselves..." was a simple gramatical error. Kind of like you mispelling the word "like" (near #7). Get over it.

I'm not going anywhere. Nor is there anything you can say that will discourage me or deter me. I've fought with the ugliest blackhats in the underground before in a full blow war. Arguments and flames on a forum are petty shit. You don't scare me Commander-in-chief Dante and your army of goons. Go ahead and tell Crimson to ban me from the forums too (I know you're considering it). What good will that do? I'm sure this nice little blurb of php hypertext processor code you call a forum resides on a quality network with HIDS, NIDS, f/w's, quality syslogs, and coorelation systems. Sounds fun!

You know, I didn't really know you until this experience. And come to find out you like to boast about your work and work for fame. Then you flame everyone who opposes you.

Well, my friend ... if you want to play in the big boy world on big boy turf -- I'll play your game. It's been years, but I'm ready to 'get back to it''. Then the community can blame your ass for the stupid comments you said to fl00d3d that triggered it. You truely would have been better off to get to know me and "tame me" (as some have put it in the past) and use me to your advantage --- not demise.

Good day to you.

Maybe there's a reason there is no #3????

If you didn't notice I was coordinating my responses to their numbered events. If I recall correctly, #3 was nothing that needed to be addressed.

Anyway, I've found "my happy place" and I don't want to argue over this stuff. Which is why I've made numerous posts stating that. Please don't keep arguments going.
