Can't Join My Server [message #469108]

Hey Guys,

I'm running a Dedicated Server with TT 4.0 Beta and Brenbot but when I try to join my dedicated server from Renegade it just says "Negotiating Port With Server..." I tried turning off my firewall but it still didn't let me join. Any ideas?

did you open the all the server ports and are you joining through wol.

Yes I'm trying to join through WOL and how do I open the server ports?

You usually need to open the upd ports on your router and sometimes on the windows firewall or third party firewall ( windows servers allow all traffic on the firewall by default ). If you don't know how to port forward on your router look at this http://www.wikihow.com/Set-up-Port-Forwarding-on-a-Router or google it.

I followed this http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/WRT54G/Command_an d_Conquer_Renegade.htm and it still won't let me join. Should those instructions work?

err idk why you would open all those ports. Just open the ports set in your server.ini default is server port 4848 and gsa query 25300. What ever you have set in your server.ini.
