So the input01.cfg file in your renegade dir control what keys do what. I'ma try to map my print screen to something a little 'friendlier'. I've missed a lot of screen shots from having to drop what Im doing and reach all the way over and hit PrintScrn. I was wondering if anyone else has attempted this. If it works fine for me I'll let yall know - I think if everyones 'print screen' key was a little friendlier we'd have more n00bstories w/pics.

I successfully changed my Print Screen buttong (in Renegade) to TAB. The player stat etc function that TAB did mapped to the PrintScreen ket w/no problems. I highly suggest this if you take screen shots often Exclamation

How did you do it? I looked at my file and didn't see where Printscreen was mapped at all.

I believe print screen is mapped under the key name sys_req_key, as that is what it is labeled on some keyboards.

Where is the input01.cfg file? I can't find it anywhere on my PC's hard drive, and i have go view all files/system files turned on. Does it have to be extracted from somewhere?

It may not be input01.cfg for you, after resetting my default key config a few times I'm @ input04.cfg.

The path is C:\westwood\renegade\data\config (I belive, Im @ work).

If nothing else search for input*.cfg

Let me know if u have any issues.

btw - Please be carefull what key you remap to. So far I have remapped to TAB & F1 w/no problems but when I try to remap to 1 or 2 I was no longer able to use any of my ALT+CTRL/ALT/CTRL + 1/2 radio keys. If you lose functionality because you remapped to a 'bad' key go into the controls menu in Renegade and restore defaults (which changes the 01 etc to 02 and so on).

i think they mapped it to printscreen button because in windows if you hit that button and open up paint, and goto edit > paste, you will have taken a screenshot of your desktop. seems normal for me to leave it as printscreen.
