Cannot start Renegade [message #46553]

Recruit

This problem started recently and no new software has been installed. When I click on the icon or start from the disk, the Renegade window comes up and then goes to the taskbar and nothing happens. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it worked for a couple of starts, then back to this problem. Any help would be appreciated.
