I dont have the game up right now but you can change the connection type via the My Information screen in the left hand side pop-out menu. Your ping is independent of your conection type. Faster connection doesn't = lower ping. The pings do refresh, I dont think they refresh everytime you refresh the server list but I know they do -- I've taken note of this (the pings never go up for me, always down Confused ). Part of the reason for this may be to reduce network traffic to the game servers.
