Truthfully, I only think you guys made improvements with it, it used to be really dumb, and it didn't allow you to enter a key that was used by the main game engine (like if a mod needed to know what key the reload key was and you tried to set it while in game it'd block you. (Only the in game one though, the external key config exe worked fine.))

But now it allows that so that's a big improvement IMO.

I think the main issue is that it can read the file from two spots now, (Renegade\Data and Documents\Renegade\Client). So, that's probably throwing people a little.

Scripts 4.0 reads the keys.cfg file from the my documents\renegade\client folder while 3.4.4 and pre use Renegade\Data. A lot of people don't know that so it could be a good idea to make the installer copy any keys.cfg file in the Data folder to the my documents folder.

4.0 will read keys.cfg from either location. But it will only WRITE keys.cfg to the documents location.

That's weird, I had to move my keys.cfg file to the My Documents folder.

It wont read keys.cfg from the data folder only the documents folder. I saw an empty keys.cfg that was created in the documents folder.
