Suggestion about the launcher notification [message #454417]

In the next version can you please add an option to disable that notification that says you haven't launched via the launcher. I always direct connect to get into the game faster and it is so annoying getting that message every time... I know I'm not using the launcher and don't need to be reminded every time. Please consider this! A lot of people use alternative methods to connect to servers and this is an annoyance. I get the point of it but we should have a choice of weather or not to be spammed every time we want to join a game. What does everyone else think about this?

Why arent you using DC with the launcher? Works just as well with DC, except for the occasional updates. And trust me, you want the updates because otherwise you might get weird issues/bugs in terms of incompatibility.

Just have the DC tool open Launcher.exe instead of Game.exe.

Long time and well respected Renegade community member, programmer, modder and tester.

Scripts 4.0 private beta tester since May 2011.

Nope, use RenList's GSA tab list instead, it's the same server list that the Resurrection launcher uses.

No, I have the same problem.

If you can convince RR to start the launcher instead of game.exe then that would work.
Although I think there are plans for a future update to allow you to set which executable the launcher should launch. This so you could rename the launcher.exe to game.exe and rename game.exe to game2.exe.
