Level Editor issues after 4.0 Beta Install [message #453728]

After installing the public beta of 4.0 I find that normal level editor is no longer working. I'm getting A bug where MOST of the presets are missing, which suggests its registry related, however. I am not seeing any wrong entries in the registry table that would be the cause of this, but I could always be overlooking something.

Have you tried the newer version of leveledit, supplied in the modtools? Not sure if that would help, but I think it could have something to do with that.

I can't run either the new editor or the old one after the update. Anyone know how to fix that?

Blazea58 couldn't get his to work either, odd part is my normal (non TT Team) leveleditor randomly started working again a week ago.

Just out of curiosity, do you have a standalone mod installed (APB, Reborn, Rp2, Scudstorm, Tiberium Crystal War, etc.)?

If you do, do you have the leveleditor tools for said standalone mod?

Both the new and old version of leveledit works for me. you need to add the tt binaries to leveledit folder. Renemaed the new version of le to LevelEditTT.exe.

I have Reborn installed, and that editor still works, probably just because it wasn't affected by the new scripts release.

Does anybody know how to get LevelEdit to work on XP 64 bit?

I didn't have to do that and mine is working again.

I just asked because I'm wondering if the addition of another leveleditor that is using another dir for its always.dat location could be the cause of the normal one no longer working when one installs 4.0, because if this issue was happening to everyone you'd think we'd see a lot more people posting about it.

I've been running 64 bit windows 7 since it came out and leveleditor has always worked for me, I suppose it could be a uac issue (I always have uac disabled), I've never had to change any compatibility settings for it however.
