I've just noticed theres a crack around the ring of the disk but it still functions. So I go to install RA2 and Yuri's revenge and it works. However I go to create a shortcut to the desktop to run it and for some reason my disk drive sounds like a revving car - followed by an error saying cannot locate CD rom. Please insert and restart.

However if I load it from TFD Launcher, it works a charm.

Uh, that means that the CD is cracked so badly it might explode inside your CD drive.

Pirate a copy of TFD and use your legit serial(s) to install.

If I purchase another TFD CD, will I be able to use the serials that I have or do I need to use the one provided?

If you have legit serials, you don't need to re-buy the disc. You can pirate it (which is not illegal if you own the games (serials))

If you want to re-buy it anyway, you can use any valid serial Thumbs Up

Every so often, I get this positive feeling that humanity can somehow, possibly attain pure awesomeness, and enlightenment, and that there is light at the end of the road for us all. However, I only need to go to the latest HUD thread at RenForums to remind me of how dumb I was for thinking such stupid things.

All games on TFD require the TFD disc unless that game is patched to not require one.

This.
