simple really
the idea is to create two renegade "championships", one for clans/teams and one for 1v1, running independently of each other. the championship is defended each month and there's an elimination bracket running throughout the month. (maybe a third one for sniping, but only if someone else wants to organise that one, cos i don't know or care about sniper games). unlike the clanwars ladder, where clans can form and play freely, it's a monthly elimination tournament where you have - say - eight signups. they sign up at the start of the month in an elimination bracket. at the end of the month, the winner of the bracket faces the current champions.
(in the first month we do it, the championship goes to the winner of the bracket.)
the 1v1 games would be on field, the team games would be a first-to-five series. you'd sign up a team of say five? people at the start of the month.
who'd wanna play in that? i could do all the organisation, would just need a couple of servers.
eight participants each month seems reasonable, it'd work out to about a week to do each round and a week for the title match. and i also thought we could have a system which disqualifies anyone who's cheated in the last, say, 3 years... or something.

as for the time, it seems to me that you'd have about a week to get each round done
as for reserve, you'd sign up a team of say five players and the games would be up to 5v5 from that team

As I'm not much of an AOW person, besides pubs, I am a sniper.
How would the sniper tournament be setup, spoony? I doubt teams of 5 would happen. Maybe teams of 3? I'm sure there are numerous amount of people that'd like to do a sniper bracket.
