ok, i cant open a 3D modle that ive been working on in Gmax nemore. i get an error msg that says that the program will close. i am in win 2000, and for some odd reason there are 3 instances of "svchost.exe" running, is that the prob, please help, i need this for school!

Look for backup files in the autoback directory. They are in wierd formats.

Also, try merging or X-refing the files.

All you have to do to restore a backup gmax file is to simply Open the .gx or .bak file from the 'autoback' folder under Gmax, you don't need to do anything special like merge or x-ref. Just keep opening the backup files until you find the most recent and functional one.
