Whats up all! Been some time since I've been here on the forums, or on the game for that matter.
Got a little problem here. It seems as though I have miss placed my Renegade key code to install the game. My question is this: Is there any possible way to install and run the game without a key code?
I'd really hate to have to go and buy the game again.
I recently bought the 1st decade, but of course I'm having issues with that as well. The issues with that being: I insert the "Game DVD" into the drive (it's supposed to autrun, but does not). I opened up "My Computer", only to find that my pc does not even show that there is any cd (1st decade "Game DVD") in the drive.
Therefore, I open up the manual to: "How to install Command & Conquer the first decade". It reads as follows: Note: If the autorun menu does not automatically appear, click the start button from the windows Taskbar and select Run....Type D:\autorun.exe in the Run dialog box, then click OK (substitute the correct letter of your DVD-ROM if other than `D:`).
(I have drives A, C, D and E) Drive A is my floppy, and C is my local disk drive.
I click on Run, enter the suggested prompt and I get this message: Please insert a disk into drive D. Then I enter the same promt, replacing drive D, with drive E, and I get the same message: please insert a disk into drive E.
I tried this in both drives and got the same messages.
The 2 drives on my pc read as follows: Compact Dick, and Compact RE Writable.
Please, any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Sorry so long, but trying to be as detailed as possible as I know it's a big help with tech issues.

Is the disc scratched? That behavior always happens when Windows can't read the CD. Take a look please.
If you're familiar with torrents you can find a well-seeded one on The Pirate Bay. Just download it, mount the .ISO with software like Daemon Tools Lite or burn the .ISO file to a CD or DVD. Install the game with your legit serial, update it to 1.037, install scripts.3.4.4, find a copy of keys.cfg and optionally install Renegade Resurrection.
If you have any issues with finding the torrent I'll PM it to you.

He says he has lost his serial in his post... If i understood correctly you have a normel ren cd (without serial) and a first decade with serial but the first decade dvd doesn't work. try installing with the normal ren cd and using the serial for ren included in the first decade.
Also, I can sell you a new, unused serial for 5 € (over paypal) if needed. I have a small dozen of unopened ren cd's lying around.

At OP:
You've made it sound like you have 2 CD drive while TFD is a DVD. Is that correct?
