In order to save me some big bucks, I am shutting down my dedicated server that hosts this website and moving everything on that box to a new server that's a lot cheaper. I'm also hoping that since I'll have upgraded applications and cleaned up stuff, that the new server will more stable and reliable. (I've had this old one for like 4-5 years)
As a result, there will be some downtime for RenForums and other sites and services hosted on this box. I will keep everything to a minimum but for these forums, I am going to run some maintenance to clean up search indexes and make sure our data integrity is up-to-date. I also hope to upgrade to the latest FUDForum (and no, I am not considering moving to a different software at this time - I only have a couple of days to move everything before the old box is shut down, so don't even ask.)

APathBeyond website
RenegadeCommunity.com
RenegadeWiki.com

I don't know how long it's going to take. I moved APB over to the new server without too much headache. I'm copying the site over as it stands now and fixing any errors, then I'll have a better idea of when.

Liquedv2, yew need to branch out a little on your thinking. I'm sure you'll twig it soon enough, but you're barking up the wrong tree.
The map is budding with new ideas and great game-play, AitcraftKiller just has to get to the root of the problem, it seems to have him pretty stumped right now.
Leaf him alone, he's doing a good job. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say this map isn't fir you.
Anyway, this thread is really starting to lumber along, all this over some sap's map? I thought the game was dead, but this thread at least is poplar. It makes me pine for the days of yonder.

The old server was one I've been renting for 6 years. It's a P4-2.4 with a gig of RAM but since I've had it up for 6 years continuously, running lots of various stuff over the years, and lots of out-of-date software, I think starting off fresh and new is what it really needed. Now I'm renting a VDS with a gig of RAM, burstable to 2 gigs. I don't know what processor it tells the OS I have, but I do get 3 processors instead of 1.

I have to finish migrating everything over to the new box before the old one gets turned off before I can concentrate on that... but the old box was running an old version of PHP (which was incompatible with FUD 3.0) and I was afraid I'd break everything if I tried to upgrade it. Now that I'm using a new version on this server, I can install 3.0.
