My computer fills my room with alot of heat, enough to were i sweat. short of buying a water cooling system, is it crazy to customly mount a dryer exhaust vent to my computers exhaust fans to go a few feet to my windows to blow the heat out? maybe add a bilge blower to help pick up the pace if the fans cant do the job? also someone else suggested a marine bilge blower since it can run on a 12 v molex (if u do it right) and it can get wet?

my problem, computer producing alot of heat

any suggestions?

Watercooling would actually dump MORE heat into your room, all it does it remove heat from your components in greater capacity and more efficiently than air cooling. Blowing the heat out a window would work if you have a powerful enough fan, I doubt a standard 120MM fan is going to cut it. Maybe some Delta or San Ace fans with 200CFM+ will handle it.

What're the temps outside near you?

I think you should first figure out why it's creating so much heat. A system with a Phenom II and a GTX 460 should be pretty cool running, unless you're running the hardware 100% with a folding application or something.

Its cool, even with prime 95 and seti running it does not pass 48C but even with most system it will produce heat, I dont have central air and my room is always closed off.

If you start mashing shit together it will look terrible and you will no doubt lose airflow along the way, making the whole thing pointless.
I would possibly buy a portable AC unit and use it in the room when I'm on the PC. You can use the AC unit elsewhere for other times, it sounds like you could do with it, you can't live in California and not have AC, not unless your name's Hotnads McSweaterson.

First off, you sure it's because of your computer? I used to think the same thing, but even when my computer is off my room gets rigodamndiculously hot. Even during the winter.

Do you have a window in your room? Get a fan and open your window. Point the fan so it is blowing out the window. That should help remove some of the heat from your room.

small rooms = heat kept in due to less aircultion. Body heat = enough to keep any room hot if you don't have a constant inflow of hot air

Yes i do have a windows, its just I live in apartments, and the windows is a a straight path into the neighbors windows, which is mo more than 10 feet...it creeps me out knowing they can see everything I do

I had a fairly big room, and when I was running a much hotter system it heated the room up big style, even with the window open. Whenever the system was off it cooled down to freezing!

In the end I just kept the window open as wide as it would go. Get a 15" fan and point it out the window if you don't have much of a draft through the house/apartment. If you do have a good draft then try and wedge the door higher when it's closed or even shave a bit off the bottom! Makes a huge diffrence believe me.

I got the frio, but yes I have to clean it soon and JZN good point, my door scraps the floor so no airflow below it
